STEAMCamp for Kids
Lindsey is a proud Mobilian and graduate of The University of South Alabama where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After a wonderful teaching career in Pensacola, Florida, she relocated home to Alabama where she taught second grade for 7 years.
With a love of all things science, art, and tinkering, she began an unexpected entrepreneurial journey in 2020, launching “STEAMCamp for Kids.” This program serves students ages 4-13+ through hands-on, screen-free experiences. Most recently, she has published an Early Childhood STEM Curriculum and partnered with The Alabama STEM Council in the establishment of regional ecosystems.
Lindsey resides in Gulf Shores with her husband Dennis and two kids and is a proud military mom to her oldest son who is serving in the US Army.
Dr. Jason Ford-Green
Ecosystem Co-Lead
Bishop State Community College
Dr. Jason Ford-Green proudly serves as an instructor of Chemistry and Physical Science at Bishop State Community College. He obtained a B.S. in Biology from Florida A&M University in 2004, followed by an M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jackson State University in 2006 and 2011, respectively. He has worked in the field of Natural Science for over 20 years and was trained in computational chemistry.
After completing his doctoral degree, Dr. Ford-Green pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in physiology. His career includes positions at the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Tougaloo College, Jackson State University, Columbia Southern University, and Coastal Alabama Community College.
He enjoys research, traveling, sports, volunteering, dancing, and is an avid foodie. Dr. Ford-Green is eager to continue supporting aspirants on their journey toward achieving their goals. He welcomes collaboration and can be reached via email.
Kenneth Robinson
Ecosystem Co-Lead
The Alabama School of Math and Science
Kenneth Robinson has worked for more than 18 years in the field of education. He currently serves as the Director of Admissions and Outreach for the Alabama School of Math and Science and has been with ASMS since 2015.
Kenneth is an ardent supporter and promoter of STEM education, having developed and implemented STEM programs for students locally and statewide. He is also a published author, former columnist with Lagniappe, and an Air Force veteran.
